This piece is based off of a photo I took while walking through Munsinger Gardens in St. Cloud, MN.  I was so pleased when I saw it and inspired by its simplicity and seemingly “easy growth” despite the harsh climate it came from.

It inspired me to continue to grow as an artist and in all my endeavours in life as it brought me hope during a time when few of us had much.  Unbothered by a pandemic, this flower chose to grow and begin blossoming.  I don’t remember it being one of the flowers planted in the garden either.  Just a wildflower doing its thing. –Probably to be trampled upon by park goers, but content to exist and bring beauty to the world for a short time anyway.
